Taylor Wimpey is currently preparing an outline planning application for new homes and open space off Basingstoke Road, between Three Mile Cross and Spencers Wood.

The site lies adjacent to Basingstoke Road and falls within the South of M4 Strategic Development Location (SDL), whilst not identified as a specific site for development in the Local Plan.

Taylor Wimpey is promoting these proposals today to help meet a greater demand for new homes in Wokingham Borough, as well as to provide new open space and a permanent, accessible and attractive green space between the villages of Spencers Wood and Three Mile Cross; and linking the existing residential areas to the west of Basingstoke Road directly through and into the newly created Mays Farm SANG and beyond.

Before an application is submitted to the council, Taylor Wimpey will take time to hear what local residents think about the plans and respond to any comments or questions.

Taylor Wimpey will hold an open evening for residents to come and view proposals for the Parklands Development. We’ll be open from 4.30pm – 8pm on Tuesday 19th July at Three Mile Cross Church Centre, Mitford Close (Off Basingstoke Road), Three Mile Cross, Reading, RG7 1AT.
